Blur this layer by a fair amount. Around 20 should do it. Again your looking for a nice blend of light and dark areas. Change the blending mode to Multiply and the image will become quite dark. This is what we're after. Image #13. |

Still here? Great! Lets take these puppies into layout for a test render. Expand all your folders and make sure that every layer is visable ( little eye beside the layer ) Collapse all the folders and leave only the Color one active.
Hint - I recorded this to an action in photoshop. It saves alot of time. Repeat this for the Diffuse and Specular layer. Save the .psd file so you have it with the layers intact so tweaking is easier. Off you go to layout and slap them on your object. If any of the maps need changing remember, if you save your object out from layout then adjust the maps. The new version of your maps will load automatically with your object. Just don't change the names when you save them out of photoshop or you'll have to put them back manually. |

| My test came out like this. Not bad for a first run. A little tweak here and there.. Some dirt on the color maps and then some bump maps and your well on the way. I hope this helps some of you. | ||||||
